The Charter Boat MAR-T

The Boat

 The MAR-T is a 36' Topaz Express with twin 3208 Turbo Caterpillar engines. She holds 300 gallons of diesel fuel and 40 gallons of fresh water.

There are four bunks forward and a dinette that seats 4 and converts into a twin berth.

We have a dorm style refrigerator, 2 burner electric stove, fresh water sink and a microwave in the galley.

She has a full head, (that's a bathroom for land lubbers), that includes a porcelain toilet, shower and vanity with freshwater sink.

The entire cabin area has air conditioning and heat.

The Owner

Mr. Marvin Thompson is the owner of the MAR-T. He is a life long resident of Mobile, Alabama. He is a member of the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club and avid if not completely obsessed saltwater fisherman. He always has the MAR-T booked for the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo. Should he have the time, he may stop by the dock to see how your trip went.

The Captain

Captain Chris Dalton has been at the helm of the MAR-T since 2004 after hurricane Ivan scrambled the Gulf of Mexico. He grew up between Mobile and Baldwin Counties, crabbing, shrimping and fishing. From his first saltwater fishing experiences on his family's 15' Chaparral, trawling for shrimp and fishing for Spanish Mackeral, Bluefish and King Mackeral to being a bait boy at fishing camps on the Mobile causeway, he has been on or around boats and fishing his entire life.

He and his wife Sussi make their home on Dauphin Island where they both are involved with the Dauphin Island Volunteer Fire Department: He as a fire fighter and first responder and she as an EMT, firefighter and secretary of the Fire Department.

The Deckhand

Jesse handles the deck duties on the MAR-T. You WILL NOT find another person more dedicated to ensuring you have a great day aboard a fishing vessel. He also happens to be the captain's stepfather. They fished many years together in the Southern King Mackeral Association as well as spending every possible minute out in the gulf on boats from 14' to 46'.
